Background: Sunflower crop being a highly cross pollinated with high yield potential, can be grown in all seasons its suitability variety of inter and series cropping systems due to photo insensitive nature adapted environmental conditions also. So keeping mind potential future use, research was conducted available lines study PCA diversity that might used hybridization programmes. Methods: The 45 sunflower were randomised block design three replications at the Research Farm, Department Genetics Plant Breeding, College Agriculture, Vijayapur during summer 2018-19 for on principal component analysis analysis. Result: At genotypic stage, variance showed significant variations among genotypes characters. Whereas Divergence using hierarchical cluster has been shown effective determining which genetically distant parents should hybridization. divided into nine major groups or clusters out components, four components had more than one eigen value (Table-2). first explained 33.40 per cent total variation, while second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth ninth 23.30, 14.10, 11.19, 6.30, 4.90, 3.60, 1.90 0.60 cent, respectively.
